Our Response to COVID-19
At Atelier Preescolar…
We are taking all the precautions we can to stay safe and healthy. Our day starts at outdoor drop off (weather permitting), where every morning parents fill and sign a document to ensure students are safe to participate in the program. Part of this sign in/sign out process requires a temperature check and oximeter check for each student.
Teachers and teacher assistants are fully vaccinated also take their own temperatures several times a day. Most of our parents have mentioned that they have been vaccinated but still wear their masks, bring their own pen to sign in and out, and stay 6 feet apart.
When indoors our students two years and older wear their masks, too, just like their teachers and parents. We’re proud to report our students adhere really well to mask-wearing. We believe this has been the most important safety measure we have applied to our program.
The majority of other centers in Austin do not require masks, and have had a higher rate of COVID-19 cases. We haven't had a single case of COVID-19 since reopening back in May.
On a daily basis we clean, sanitize, and disinfect before school, throughout the day, and after school. We wash our hands frequently, and spend as much time as possible outdoors.
When we work indoors, we feel safe because our classrooms are equipped with rabbit air purifiers that kill 97.7% of allergens, bacteria and viruses, including COVID-19. Our portable air cleaners give us an additional layer of protection at school.
