Atelier Preescolar: Celebrating our Successes:, Milestones Grants and Highest Quality Recognition
Dear Atelier Friends,
I’m writing with news I’ve been hoping to share since last week: Atelier Preescolar has earned its 4th Star from Texas Rising Star, the highest quality rating a preschool can achieve in the state of Texas.
It reflects what happens in our classrooms every day with how our teachers talk with your children, the spaces we create for them, and the care behind every lesson. And it caps off a year we’re deeply proud of.
This year we also secured $11,000 in grants from different organizations. Every dollar is going into improving our outdoor classroom through the state’s OLE! Texas initiative, so your children have more room to explore, move, and discover.
Our high rating opened new doors for us as well. We joined United Way Austin’s PreK Partnership, and Atelier was the only early childhood center in Austin selected to collaborate with First3Years—a Texas nonprofit dedicated to healthy early brain development—during their statewide Baby Day celebration, which highlights the critical window when 85% of foundational brain growth occurs.
Our teachers earned formal microcredentials through the Children’s Learning Institute this year, and I completed a year long Social Entrepreneurship certificate at UT’s LBJ School of Public Affairs. How we run this school matters as much as what we teach.
And the achievement that means the most to me: since we opened in 2012, Atelier has maintained a perfect state licensing record. Every decision here starts with your child’s safety and well being. That will never change.
